Resilience to Reinvention organized by the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Pune Chapter in association with S. B. Patil Institute of Management
On 19th October 2024, MBA HRD Students of Anjuman Khairul Islam's Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship along with faculties Dr. Sheena Abraham and Mr. Akbar Khan, participated in the Student Conference on Human Resources, organized by the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Pune Chapter in association with S. B. Patil Institute of Management. The theme of the conference was "Resilience to Reinvention."
The inaugural session was addressed by Ms. Rujuta Jagtap,Executive Director of SAJ Test Plant Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Vikas Prasad, MD & President of Webasto India, and Dr. Parag Kalkar, Pro VC, SPPU and Mr. Vishwesh Kulkarni, President of Yashaswi Group.The speakers emphasized the need for professionals and companies to be resilient and reinvent, lest they risk becoming obsolete.
The panel discussions followed was centered on crucial themes for reinvention with eminent professionals, Mr. Vikram Mhaske, CHRO & Executive Director, KSPG Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Shantanu Ghoshal, President - Organization Development, Walchandnagar Industries Limited; Ravinder Pal Singh, Director - Software Engineering, Amdocs; Dr. Ravindra Utgikar, Vice President - Corporate Strategy, Praj Industries; Dr. Ajit Thakur, Head HR and EHS, Saarloha Advanced Material (Kalyani Group); Ms. Meena Kulkarni, Country Head HR, Winoa Companies in India; Ms. Kavita Kalikar, Head HR Admin & LR, John Deere; Ms. Shruuti Pujari, Head HR, Yantra; Ms. Prachee Sonchal, Head HR, Burckhardt Compression Ltd.; and Mrs. Vahida Pathan, Director, Neorare Services LLP.
The panel discussions focused on how education systems can prepare individuals for a rapidly changing world, particularly in light of technological advancements impacting the workforce. Industry professionals highlighted insights on Organizational Resilience, the need for agile leadership and adaptability, as well as the importance of leadership styles that empower teams to embrace change and integrate technology for reinvention. Another key theme was Building Resilience through Adversity, where panelists discussed personal experiences and strategies for overcoming challenges, emphasizing skill development as a crucial aspect of reinvention.
The students left the conference feeling inspired and gained valuable insights from the panelists.
